Leave Out Violence in St.Vincent and the Grenadines Inc. (LOVNSVG) is a registered non-profit
organization which was established in October, 2011 in Vancouver, Canada and then in 2012 in
St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Leave out Violence in SVG (LOVNSVG) is a non-profit that
focuses on eradicating violence against women and children across St. Vincent and the
Grenadines. The organization focuses on issues such as child molestation, domestic violence,
youth crime and violence, and sexual violence against women and children.
The mission of Leave Out Violence in S.V.G. Association is:
· To eradicate violence from the mind set of our people through education, awareness and
rehabilitation within our communities.
· To establish a home/shelter for battered women and women who have experienced sexual
violence and are in need of protection.
· LOVNSVG intends to safeguard the good values of our society for peaceful, prosperous and
harmonious living among man and womankind in securing our future.
· To encourage the community in St.Vincent and the Grenadines to embrace the concept of
conflict resolution and reform and other alternatives to violent action.
The non-profit continues to engage in community based educational programs and awareness
campaigns. Currently LOVNSVG is petitioning the government of St.Vincent and the Grenadines
for a sex offender’s registry and programs to compliment the registry.

Advocacy through legislation
In 2015 LOVNSVG was involved in recommendations to the government of St.Vincent and the
Grenadines for amendments to the Domestic Violence ACT of 1995 for financial abuse to be
included and was successful in its recommendations. The Domestic Violence ACT of 2015 in
St.Vincent and the Grenadines now includes financial abuse.
